Apple Nachos

Savour the flavour of apples in this dish. Quick and easy, these apple nachos are a winner with both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) of lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) almond butter
  • 2 tsp (10g) of mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Wash and cut apples into thin, firm slices.
  • Toss apple slices with lemon juice.
  • Microwave almond butter until runny (15-20 seconds).
  • Arrange apple slices on a plate in a single layer. Drizzle with almond butter and chocolate chips.

Tips & Notes

  • Almond butter can be substituted with peanut butter, cashew butter, sunflower butter, or even tahini.
  • Get your kids involved in adding their own toppings! Substitute the mini chocolate chips with chopped nuts, raisins, or sprinkles.
