Carrot and leek burgersAh the hamburger, a BBQ classic, a dinner tradition.   Hamburgers have been around so long that it makes sense that we dedicate a day to celebrate them.  It is possible to fill half your plate with delicious veggies while enjoying a burger.  You could load your traditional burger with the typical toppings of tomato, lettuce, pickles or you could try some of our favourite vegetarian burger variations!

Carrot Chickpea Burgers: These burgers have colour and flavour and don’t even need a bun!

Bulgur and Mushroom Burger from Chef Michael Smith: This burger uses the strength of bulgur wheat to keep it together and the delicious taste of sautéed mushrooms, onions and garlic.
